Meet the Director

Serena Biddulph is a licensed, veteran teacher with both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. With 28 years of experience she has taught students in grades 6 -12 across four states in both small communities and large cities.  Her diverse experiences have honed her craft, helping her develop strong connections with her students and deliver clear, effective instruction.  She has received recognition for excellence in education, including the Alpine Accent on Excellence Award from Alpine School District and Mentor Teacher of the Year from Utah Valley University.  She also serves in professional leadership roles and presents regularly at trainings and conferences for other educators. Her passionate belief is that every student can succeed.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Biddulph has come to believe that there is no single “right way” to educate unless that way is to individualize the education, giving extra support where needed and igniting the curiosity of students who are ready for more, adapting both instruction and assessment to meet students where they are. She recognizes the challenges that rural districts, like the one in northern Arizona where she taught and served on the school board, face with their limited resources. She wants all students to be able to access the education that will best meet their individual needs, opening the doors of choice and possibility, even in remote areas.
